ISO 9001:2008 is a certification which can apply to all industries and is focused on meeting customer expectations and delivering customer satisfaction, through effective implementation and continual improvement of our Quality Management System. This standard helps the organization achieve consistent results through continued improvement of our documented processes. It is the baseline in which the other standards are developed.
AS9100 is an Aerospace Management System which is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. It encompasses ISO 9001, with additional requirements for quality and safety relevant to aerospace, and defines the quality management systems standards for the industry.
AS9110 is an Aerospace Management System for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Stations. It is based on AS9100 and adds specific requirements that are significant for the maintenance of commercial, private, and military aircrafts. Certification as an MRO supplier to AS9110 provides an additional layer of control, but is not a replacement for regulatory oversight or customer monitoring.
AS9120 is an Aerospace Management System for organizations that resell, distribute and warehouse parts found in aircraft and other aerospace components. This standard is also based on AS9100 but adds specific requirements for organizations that procure parts, materials and assemblies and sell these products in the aerospace industry. AS9120 addresses chain of custody, traceability, control and availability of records.
